The V3 Flue System is a complete range of plastic flue kits suitable for certain models of the Ideal HE boiler range. It replaces the current aluminium flue system for the applicable models. The new range is applicable ONLY to Esprit, Icos 12-24 models, Isar, Icos System, Istor.

Why are we doing it?

• Introduction of new, additional kits providing ease and flexibility of use.
• The standard B pack is now a telescopic kit. Greater flexibility for the installer.
• Telescopic B pack has a built in fall for flue condensate drainage. Installation is simple horizontal drilling for B pack only use.
• Telescopic B pack has built in rubber seal for external wall seal. Permits easy internal installation.
• Increased Isar 35 Roof flue length.
• Increased maximum Powered Vertical Flue length (all models)
• Additional 3 & 4 metre lengths in both 60mm and 80mm diameters for twin pipe systems. Minimises the need for access covers when installed in voids, as per latest CORGI/ HSE guidance.
• Increased maximum potential length for 80mm twin pipe system.

Specification - What's different or special?

Model range and additions

All existing kits are continued but with plastic flue pipes.

These are:
• Concentric
• High Level Flue Outlet kits
• Twin Pipe 60mm diameter
• Twin Pipe 80mm diameter

Five new kits are added:

Telescopic B pack Flue.

This provides 215 mm adjustment.
• Rear flue: Wall thickness 189 – 404 mm
• Side flue: Wall thickness 149 – 364 mm

The adjustment is fixed by self tapping screws and sealing tape covers the outside of the air duct.
• Flue Extension 3m. x 60 diameter
• Flue Extension 3m. x 80 diameter
• Flue Extension 4m. x 60 diameter
• Flue Extension 4m. x 80 diameter

Applicability - The following HE boiler ranges are modified to suit the plastic V3 flue system.

Compatibility

• New Boilers can be fitted with BOTH the new V3 flue system or the current aluminium system (Boilers shipped to Merchant AFTER 6th August 2007).
• Current boilers can ONLY be fitted to the current aluminium flue system (Boilers shipped to Merchants prior to 6th August)
